Our story

We're Whitney and Jonathan — a Bay Area girl and a New York City guy who decided to trade city life for something a little wilder. We now live on top of a mountain in southeastern Oklahoma, in a tent, fully off the grid. No shortcuts, no compromises — just us and the woods. What started as a leap of faith has become a life we're proud of, and we're just getting started. Follow along as we document the journey and share everything we're learning along the way.

Paws of War

A portion of all purchases goes to support Paws of War.

Paws of War mission is to alleviate the suffering of veterans, first responders and their families, particularly those battling  invisible wounds like Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), by providing them with loyal service dogs that become not just companions but also catalysts for healing.

Simultaneously, Paws of War rescues and rehabilitates dogs and cats in dire straits, often plucking them from the brink of despair and giving them a new chance at life.  Their reach extends into war-torn regions, reuniting military personnel with the animals they formed bonds with during service.
